I’m Damp Sam and I started doing how-to videos on YouTube around 2014 to get all the information I have learned from being in the construction industry since 1983. In that time, I have become a City & Guilds Advanced Plasterer, set up All Dry Damp Proofing Ltd, Damp & Timber Surveys Ltd, SA Stays Ltd and have a portfolio of property I’ve renovated myself from buying them cheap. This means I’m a responsible landlord. I am a qualified Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) and a Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW). My company is a member of the highly accredited Property Care Association (PCA) where I have attended many relevant preservation industry courses. Damp Sam was the first person to stick his head up above the parapet on social media and continues to try and raise the profile of the preservation industry which has had a bad name due to misdiagnosis from untrained and unqualified people setting up companies.
